Founded Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in Washington, D.C. in 1973, and since that time have worked with artists and artistic, humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations.

Serve as an adviser for non profit organizations on the implementation of operating strategies.

Presently serving on the Board of Directors of The Immediate Life, the Indigenous Cultural Education Center, the Beautiful Earth Foundation and the East West School for International Studies Foundation. Served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, and on the Board of Directors of District Curators, the Alvin Ailey School, and Jennifer Muller Dance Theater.

Represent the Non-Governmental Organization Global Family for Love and Peace at the United Nations, working in the areas of the Culture of Peace and the United Nations International Day of Peace through the Annual Week Dialogue. GFLP is affiliated with the United Nations Department of Information and works in Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Member of the Executive Board of the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development.
