Founded Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in 1973 in Washington D.C., at the inception of the National Endowment for the Arts, bringing newfound energy to the local arts community. Worked with dance companies, performance artists, visual artists, art centers, production companies and galleries, and since that time have also actively participated with the creative communities in New York City and Accra, Ghana.
Have served on many boards of directors including District Curators, UNITY EARTH, the Indigenous Cultural Education Center, The Immediate Life, the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY, the Peace Ling Center, the Foundation for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, the Alvin Ailey School, Jennifer Muller Dance Theater and The East West School for International Studies.
Representing Global Family for Love and Peace at the United Nations since its inception in 2002, whose long-term goal is to sow the seeds of peace, to bring to life the United Nations Resolution on the Right of Peoples to Peace: “… that the maintenance of a peaceful life for peoples is the sacred duty of each State” and “peoples of our planet have a sacred right to peace.”
